Past Events

The Gagosian Gallery in Chelsea was again the site of celebrities, artists, dogs and animal lovers for the 2005 Canine Cocktail Party. Eric Stolz and John Leguizamo made some new canine friends. Many dogs found homes while their admirers purchased extraordinary works of art by Richard Serra, Willem de Kooning, Mary Ellen Mark, Ida Applebroog and Alice Neel, among others. The evening raised much-needed funds for the group’s emergency medical fund for dogs, cats and horses in the tri-state area.

Art for Animals held its first benefit reading event on March 8 at Barnes & Noble near Lincoln Center. Eleven authors read to a full house to show their support for animal rescue. The night was funny, inspiring and pure magic! For that, we thank our amazing authors.
